Aspetti astrofisici della materia oscura

Translation in progress

It is now well known that luminous matter constitutes only a fraction of that one you can find in the cosmos. But if the universe is indeed dominated by dark matter, some questions arise spontaneously. How much matter is in there? How is it distributed? What is its physical nature?
Trying to answer these questions has become one of the biggest challenges of contemporary science. This book's intention is to treat the dark matter in a technical and systematic way, explaining its properties, starting from first principles, without assuming specific knowledge of astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology.
