Incertezze sull'individuo

This brief essay belongs to the last stage of the journey of Capograssi, strongly marked by the role of the individual in his historical concreteness, embodying the problems of existence.
Capograssi described his time as a time of disappearance of self, in which individuals, weak, increasingly equal, lose the sense of history and vital links with their parents. This individual without individuality, no longer feels the life and destiny as a problem and no longer perceives God as a presence, follows desperate schemes of mass propaganda and ethics of perversion. Two paradoxical and extreme attempts to rediscover his identity.
