Il dialogo della salute e altri dialoghi

The Health dialogue, written in the tradition of Plato and Leopardi, is the text where Michelstaedter sent us in the most clear way his vision of life and death. In parallel and in counterpoint to Persuasion and Rhetoric, many of his major themes reapper here, and in a form that can keep, from end to end, the lightness of the conversation and the vividness of the formulas.
In addition to this text, dated 1910, the year of Michelstaedter's death, and essential in the geography of his work, there are also some other less well-known dialogues, such as the Dialogue between Napoleon and Diogenes and the Dialogue between the bourgeois and the wise, which are all many precious fragments of his thought.
